Fire Bright

I'm sooo so so glad I got to see Switchfoot live!!! They're amazing and their songs like The Shadow Proves the Sunshine, 24, Dare You to Move, You, This is your life, Only Hope etc were a GREAT source of comfort during the growing pains of adolescence and still strike a chord with me today. and I also lovelovelove their more recent songs like This is Home, Your love is a song and Always- Switchfoot is one of the only bands whose music I actually still listen to and enjoy after so long :) and I saw sooo many Fairsians there who grew up listening to them too and it just made me really happy!! Epiccc concert and set list and atmosphere and we were literally an arms length away from Jon Foreman at one pointtt haha it was an awesome night. I think Reuben pinned it down perfectly in these words - "Thank you [Switchfoot] for writing the soundtrack to my adolescent and young adult life". :)

Sunday Afternoon

So it holds true that the company does count-we were rained out and there wasn't enough food to make it a picnic picnic (if you know what I mean) but it was still really great hanging out with these guys again :)

Sky High

Photos from prom yesterday! It was fun getting ready together with the girls and dinner with (most of) 09a07 was good too! For all the grouses I have about SA, one thing i'm truly thankful for is my great class and classmates :) It makes me so happy when I think of the wonderful and really unique friendships i've made through the 2 years. It was a good way to wrap up jc life, with everyone looking their best (compared to the pale faces and eyebags galore of the A level period haha!) and in high spirits :)

Chen's back on Sunday morning and then we fly off at night, i've yet to pack and tomorrow is a full day sooo I foresee a mad rush on Sunday! But it's an exciting time and i'm really looking forward to it :)

Almost there!

Crazy week is finally over- 15 essays down and only one more paper to go! Friday night was great, i've missed the peacefulness of slowing down and spending time just relaxing.. It was a good way to end a superbusy week (S's first week interning and exams for me)! Hehe and you've probably noticed by now, but i'm really really glad and thankful that Shawn is back :)

Capella

Had an amazing break- the grey clouds made way for bluee skies for a couple of hours each afternoon which was perfect, just enough to enjoy chilling/swimming by the perpetually empty pool (we figured the other guests can't be swimmers!). It was great :) Probably the best hotel i've ever stayed at in my life and with the bestbest rooms ever!! Seriously, the bathrooms are todiefor, I watched the sun set from the shower :) and i'm really glad I got to spend time with my family too. Soo i'm back from our little holiday of sorts with a tan (haha YES not a sunburn, a legit tan! let's see how long this one lasts..) and a whole lot more relaxed than I was 3 days ago :) It's never pleasant to get back to reality but I just have to get on with it I guess.. S will be home in 5 days :)

Russian Navy

Dinner with sp and fats just now, was good taking time out to laugh over silly things and catch up a bit :) Thennn I had my first ever trip to Tampines (which is really pretty cool! like a little city in itself) and went over to Fat's house to chill/listen to her supertalented sister peform haha/paint nails/try on clothes/eat kfc :) Good times, loveya and thanks for having me over!!

Duck/Hippo tours tomorrow with the family, we'll be tourists for the day :) The second week of the holidays have been good, I pray i'll be able to continue counting my blessings and to not get overwhelmed by things out of my control.. To keep trusting in the One who is ever faithful :)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MUMMY!!! :) We love you so much, thank you for always putting us above yourself and for being the amazing mum you are.

I wish weekends never had to end.. Chen's flying off tonight :( 3 more months till she's back again but everything's different when she isn't here. But i'll look forward to S's arrival in 43 days and then before I know it she'll be back again too :)
